NFL in-game sideline interviews, just stop already…

The stupidest thing during an NFL broadcast is the sideline interview with the head coach. I realize that that is saying a lot too because I also listen to the booth announcers. There is never, ever any ground breaking reporting going on during the sideline interview. They either ask the most obvious questions that have answers that are clear even to the most rookie of football watchers, or questions that are never going to be answered directly or remotely truthfully. Body language from the coach clearly reads that they doesn’t like their time being wasted, as does the total non answer they usually give. Just leave this type of interview to baseball. The pace of the game for baseball is much better suited for this and baseball managers are often very entertaining as they tend to have a lot more free time on their hands to spin a yarn.

I needed some face wash.

So during Thanksgiving week I decided I wanted to get some of my favorite face wash. I really like Basis Cleaner Clean Face Wash so I hit the internet and found that Bed Bath and Beyond was almost half price compared to Target, Walmart and Amazon. Since it was just before Black Friday BB and B also had a 25% coupon off your entire purchase so this brought it down even more. What was $7ish dollars at Target and the others was now $3.37! The only catch was you had to get to $40 to get free shipping, otherwise shipping was $6.99. Now there was no way I was going to pay shipping when that was the cost of two face washes so I did what any sane person would do and I ordered twelve 6oz tubes.

Good stuff!

Now the fun starts. The day after I ordered I got five different shipping notifications. My face wash would be arriving from multiple locations in different quantities per packages! One shipment came in a large shoebox sized box with one face wash and a couple air pillows. Another came with three face washes just in a plastic mailing envelope. More came in a bubble mailer. Probably my favorite was the small box with another three face washes in it that were individually wrapped up in tissue paper like they were candles or a coffee mug. When all was said and done I received all twelve of my face washes so I should have a clean mug for quite some time to come.

USA!

I watched the USA’s World Cup game today against Iran, what a great win. It took a lot of grit to finish that game at the end as the extra time seemed to take forever. I was excited to learn about the kid on the team from Poughkeepsie, NY, obviously that hits so close to home. I really could do without all the Oscar performance acting that goes on during a game now though, it really gets ridiculous.

Speaking of the USA, I saw an American made Rivian R1T in the parking lot of Lowes in Highland earlier today. It’s not the first time I have ever seen one in person, but it is the closest to home I have ever seen one. It’s a great looking truck. I really love my F-150 Lightning , but the Rivian is the perfect size for my needs so I wish that the one that I reserved had arrived before my Lightning. Since my Lightning came in first I switched my reservation to an R1S. The R1S isn’t coming anytime soon and that’s ok, it gives me time to eventually decide how best to consolidate the fleet.

It’s about time.

Well I finally decided to figure this out. I always have had tons of ideas for using this site but I always found other distractions to keep me from posting here. Well, no longer. With the decay of social media to the point that I hardly use most of it and even abandoned some of it (Fuck you Elon), I think here would be a good place to let my musings see the light of day. Plus, I have control here and don’t have to let the morons who always seem to show up have their say.
